YMCA Camp Duncan is hiring a live-on, seasonal Maintenance Assistant to perform general maintenance to keep all facilities, grounds and equipment in safe working order.

Salary starts at $450 per week, on-site housing provided, and opportunities to grow within the organization

Scopeof Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and test equipment and machinery to diagnose malfunctions and detect problems
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance such as inspecting motors, belts, replacing filters, checking fluid levels and maintaining proper pool chemical levels
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them by referencing repair manuals or parts catalogs as necessary
  • Keep records of work assignments
  • Maintain inventory of custodial supplies
  • Maintain proper storage and security conditions of chemical cleaners, equipment and other inventory
  • Perform other duties assigned.

Requirements:

  • Must have HS diploma or GED. Must be 18 years old.
  • Previous work experience preferred
  • Must have ability to clean
  • Must have average written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to maintain positive relationships with all customers from point of contact
  • Must be able to stand on feet for extended period of time; walk stairs; lift up to 50lbs

  • Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor
  • Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children
  • Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor
  • Completing all child abuse prevention training as required
