Job summary

The Hills is seeking Seasonal Line Cooks to join the Culinary Department at Discovery Land Company's Hamptons locations in Westhampton Beach and East Quogue, NY. The role runs April 1, 2027 through October 30, 2027, with H-2B visa sponsorship available.

You will prepare items per standard recipes, assist on all stations, maintain cleanliness, and uphold health and safety standards while delivering exceptional service to members and guests.

Qualifications

• Twelve (12) months of experience in high-volume restaurants, resort, or private club.
• Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and shifts longer than eight hours.

The Hills is seeking Seasonal Line Cooks to join the Culinary Department. This role is available April 1, 2027 - October 30, 2027. H-2B visa sponsorship is available.

In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare food items are per standard recipe while maintaining portion control and minimizing waste.
• Stock kitchen with all necessary ingredients.
• Assist on all stations on the line as needed for each meal period.
• Maintain and clean equipment according to the opening and closing checklists.
• Promptly report any hazards, unsafe working conditions, or equipment which requires repair/ maintenance.
• Adhere to all Department of Health food and safety standards.
• Always comply with company and department policies and procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas.
• Demonstrate the ability to execute recipes and ability to follow recipes and all house-made ingredients promptly and efficiently.
• Ensure all food is plated and presented accordingly and demonstrate a sense of urgency for responding to guest needs during all interactions.

Qualifications

• Twelve (12) months of experience in high-volume restaurants, resort, or private club.
• Required to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and shifts greater than eight (8) hours in length.
• Required to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Required to stand, walk, and move for a period of greater than four (4) hours.
• Required to lift, carry, bend, stoop, squat, reach, push and pull. They may be required to lift and carry items sometimes more significant than 50 pounds.
• Knowledge of ServSafe and safe food handling practices.
• Background check will be performed at the expense of the employer.

Benefits

• Pay Range: $21.00 - $33.00 USD per hour; based on experience

• Optional furnished housing is available to a worker who lives outside of a commutable distance (greater than 100 miles) through a separate company at a weekly housing rate of $125 (including Basic Utilities). If the worker chooses to live in optional housing, payment is made via electronic payment, no cash, directly to the landlord weekly or monthly.
