Job summary

Vail Resorts in Colorado is hiring Lift Operators for the Winter Season 2026/2027. Starting wage is $20.00 per hour, with full-time and part-time shifts available. Join the Lift Experience team to ensure safe loading/unloading and outstanding guest service on the mountain.

No prior experience is required as training is provided. The role requires outdoor work in varying weather, weekend/holiday availability, and the ability to handle high guest volumes with professionalism.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided.
• Ability to make quick safety decisions and multitask.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.
• Able to handle high guest volumes professionally.

Responsibilities

• Monitor passenger safety during loading/unloading and provide customer service.
• Operate lifts to maximize chair capacity per guidelines.
• Notify maintenance of repairs and coordinate with Lift Maintenance.
• Learn operation of lift equipment with Maintenance; follow procedures.
• Follow emergency procedures and maze setup.
• Maintain clean lift shacks and assist during peak periods.
• Support ticket scanning as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
