Job summary

The Municipality of Anchorage is seeking Lifeguards for indoor and outdoor aquatic activities at the Dimond Pool and West Pool. You will teach swimming lessons, monitor swimmer safety, and perform hourly chemical readings while maintaining pool cleanliness and assisting with cash handling.

Applicants must hold American Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR for Professional Rescuers at time of hire and pass a background check. E-verify applies; AMEA preference may favor internal applicants.

Qualifications

• American Red Cross Lifeguard Training required at time of hire.
• American Red Cross First Aid Certification required at time of hire.
• American Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers required at time of hire.
• Background check and eligibility for E-Verify as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lifeguard indoor and outdoor aquatic activities.
• Teach swimming lessons.
• Take hourly chemical readings and adjust pool chemistry as needed.
• Clean facility and perform cashier duties as assigned.
