Qualifications

• Meet minimum age requirements for lifeguards (typically 15–16+).
• Ability to perform rescues and assist distressed individuals.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pool areas to ensure safety and prevent accidents.
• Enforce pool rules and ensure a safe swimming environment.
• Respond to emergencies including water rescues and first aid.

Skills

Ability to remain alert and continuously monitor the pool area

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Customer service skills

Physical ability to perform rescues

Education

Current Lifeguard certification (American Red Cross or equivalent)

CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification

First Aid certification
