Job summary

Santa Clara University is seeking a temporary lecturer for the LEAD Scholars Program to teach three 2-unit seminars in Fall 2026 and Winters 2027. Courses cover Advanced LEAD Seminar, Success in Work and Life, and Exploring Medical and Health Vocations, among others.

The role requires a Master’s degree in nonprofit administration, counseling, higher education, or a related field and at least five years of nonprofit or social benefits experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in nonprofit administration, counseling, higher education or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience working in the nonprofit or social benefits field.

Responsibilities

• Teach one lecture section of LEAD 101; LEAD 16; LEAD 18; LEAD 20; or LEAD 22 during the designated quarter of the 26-27 academic year.
• Fulfilling all responsibilities associated with the assigned course, including: Conducting class meetings and conferences with students; assigning and evaluating student work including exams and written assignments.
• Holding weekly office hours on campus; submitting student grades to the Registrar by the deadline; administering course evaluations.
• Fulfilling other instructional or academic duties as assigned by the Dean or Program Director.
