Job Overview

The Seasonal Kitchen Assistant plays a vital role in enhancing customer experiences and supporting the Resident Chef in store operations. This position involves engaging with customers, assisting in food prep and classes, and contributing to store sales and goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide outstanding customer service and create memorable experiences
2. Assist with food preparation and class setup, including shopping for ingredients if needed
3. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and wash dishes before, during, and after classes
4. Support instructors during classes and look for opportunities to assist
5. Contribute to sales through product knowledge and customer engagement
6. Handle alcohol responsibly, if applicable
7. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Proficiency with kitchen tools and equipment such as chopping, whisking, slicing, and stirring
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, and weekends
• Valid Food Handlers and/or Food Manager Certification
• Preferred: 1 year of retail sales, food prep, or kitchen operations experience
• Must be at least 16 years old
