Job summary

The Salvation Army NSC-Midlands Area Command in Columbia, SC seeks a Seasonal Full-Time Driver/Coordinator to support Christmas activities.

You will drive a 15-passenger van, transport kettles and bell ringers, manage kettle inventory, and record shifts. Must have a high school diploma or GED and a valid state driver's license; ability to learn routes and work outdoors. This role requires reliability, punctuality, and alignment with the organization's Christian principles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 1–2 years in related field preferred.
• Valid State Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Meet with paid Kettle Bell ringers each morning to transport bell ringers and kettles to their designated location.
• Keep inventory of kettles and switch out kettles as needed during the day.
• Pick up kettles in the evenings.
• Keep track of all paid bell ringer shifts and hours by indicating start and stop times on kettle slips.
• Perform spot checks on bell ringer locations at times other than beginning and end of shifts.
• Conducts job duties in accordance with the ministry of The Salvation Army and its Christian principles.
• Attend employee meetings as required.
• Perform other duties as required.
