Job summary

The City of Marion Parks & Recreation is hiring a four-month seasonal position from November through February to administer the Ice Loop. Duties include processing admissions, skate rentals, and concessions, and enforcing ice loop rules while performing basic maintenance.

Evening and weekend shifts are required. You will assist guests with skate fitting, keep the concession area clean, input every sale into the POS, monitor equipment, and report issues to the manager.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work outdoors in winter conditions.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Strong customer service and math skills.
• Experience with cash registers or POS systems is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve the public courteously and efficiently.
• Input and record every sale in the cash register.
• Maintain concession stand and skate shack areas clean and organized.
• Assist guests with skate fitting, rentals, and returns.
• Monitor and maintain equipment; report issues to manager.
