UPS is seeking a seasonal internship candidate to support the Human Resources team in Goleta, CA. You will enter data, draft memos, and assist with policy improvements while gaining exposure to recruitment activities and applicant tracking.

The role focuses on data management, communications, and respectful handling of confidential information, with opportunities to contribute to various HR projects and team initiatives.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate from Human Resources Management program or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Exceptional oral, written and interactive communication skills.
• Skilled in effective research tactics with strong organization skills.
• Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
• Ability to convey a positive and professional image to internal and external customers.
• Knowledge of local employment and regulatory laws - Preferred

Responsibilities

• Enters data into Human Resources database.
• Composes competent memos to employees to effectively communicate policy and procedural changes.
• Assists in the construction and improvement of company policies and procedures.
• Reviews resumes in online database to recruit qualified individuals for specific open positions.
• Maintains applications, and applicant flow logs in accordance with standard company procedures.
• Assists in recruitment activities and special projects as needed.
• Files documents and answer phone calls.

Basic Qualifications

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.

Pay Range

Pay for this internship is based on several factors, including but not limited to geographic location, education level, and course of study. The base pay ranges from $13.35/hour to $30.00/hour for Undergraduate Interns or $22.60/hour to $52.00/hour for Postgraduate Interns. Hired applicants may be eligible for 401(k) retirement program, Discounted Employee Stock Purchase Program, and personal time.
