The Maryland Park Service is seeking seasonal lifeguards for the 2025 season at Pocomoke River State Park. Applicants must be certified in lifeguarding, first aid, and CPR. Positions available include Lifeguard Series and Lead Lifeguard. Full-time and part-time options are offered, with potential health benefits for those working over 30 hours a week.

The Maryland Park Service of the Department of Natural Resources is recruiting for multiple seasonal contractual lifeguard positions for the 2025 season at Pocomoke River State Park. Contract duration is approximately from Memorial Day to Labor Day, depending on need. Candidates must specify their interested positions on the Supplemental Questionnaire. Employees may need to operate a motor vehicle, UTV, or golf cart. Valid Maryland driver’s license with five points or fewer required. Provisional licenses are not accepted.
Employment may require background checks, reference checks, education verification, driving record checks, and fingerprinting. Continued employment depends on these results.
Applicants meeting minimum qualifications will be considered. Provide complete and accurate information. Foreign education must be evaluated for equivalency before hire.
Contractual employees working 30+ hours per week may be eligible for health benefits, paying 25% of premiums. Other benefits include dental, life insurance, and accidental death and dismemberment insurance. Leave accrual details are provided.
