The Maryland Park Service is recruiting for seasonal contractual lifeguard positions at Dans Mountain State Park for the 2025 season, approximately from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Candidates must indicate their preferred position(s) on the supplemental questionnaire and review the duties of each role.
Must have a valid Maryland driver’s license with five or fewer points. A provisional license is not acceptable.
Background checks, including employment references, education verification, driving record, and criminal history, may be required. Employment is contingent upon passing these checks.
Applicants must provide complete and accurate information. Foreign education must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency. Only one application submission is allowed; ensure all information is correct before submitting.
Eligible contractual employees working 30+ hours/week may access subsidized health benefits, paying 25% of premiums. Leave accrues at one hour per 30 hours worked, up to 40 hours annually.
