Job summary

FirstLight Home Care of the South Hills is seeking seasonal caregivers for November through the holidays. You will visit clients in their homes, follow care plans, and provide companionship, meals, personal care, light housekeeping, and transportation as needed to help seniors stay comfortable during the season.

This role offers flexible shifts (days, evenings, weekends) and weekly pay, with paid orientation and training and 2x holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable car
• Pennsylvania background checks and a drug screen
• No experience required; training provided; CNA/HHA or family caregiving experience is a plus
• Comfort helping someone move safely and with personal care

Responsibilities

• Visit a client at their home and follow their care plan
• Provide companionship, meals, assistance with bathing or dressing, reminders for medications, light housekeeping
• Offer safe transportation for errands or church services as needed

Looking for extra income this holiday season? FirstLight Home Care of the South Hills is adding seasonal caregivers for November through the holidays. This is when families travel, regular caregivers take time off, and seniors need someone they can count on.

Why this is a good seasonal job

• $17.00 an hour to start, with paid orientation and training
• 2X pay on holidays
• Pick up the shifts that fit around your own holiday plans: days, evenings, or weekends
• Paid weekly, plus mileage when you drive for a client

What you'll do

You’ll visit a client at their home and follow their care plan. That can mean companionship, a meal, help with bathing or dressing, reminders to take their medicine, light housekeeping, or a ride to a holiday errand or church service. For many of our clients, you’ll be the friendly face that makes the season brighter.

Stay with us after the holidays

Seasonal doesn't have to mean temporary. Caregivers who do well over the holidays are invited to stay on into the new year, with part-time or full-time hours, 401(k) with match, health insurance once eligible, and room to grow.

You'll need
