Oregon Department of Transportation in Maupin, OR seeks a Transportation Maintenance Specialist 2 (Seasonal) to operate snowplows, deicer trucks and other equipment, and to perform road maintenance and repairs on highways and structures. You will also assist in emergency cleanup and traffic control after storms and incidents.

The role requires operating a range of heavy and light machinery, performing pothole repairs, drainage work, and light carpentry, with potential after-hours on-call duties.

Formación

• One year of experience performing basic highway maintenance.
• OR two years of general landscaping, maintenance, mechanical, farming, logging, and/or construction experience or training.
• CDL-A required with tanker endorsement within 30 days of hire.
• A valid U.S. driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsabilidades

• Operate snowplows, deicer trucks and other equipment to clear snow from roadways.
• Operate a variety of heavy and light equipment to maintain/repair surfaces.
• Perform pothole and concrete patching, small inlay work.
• Clear debris, maintain vegetation, and manage drainage systems.
• Service and repair tools and motorized equipment; basic maintenance and light carpentry.
• Handle after-hours emergency, on-call, and weather-related duties.
