Job summary

Cole Hardware in San Francisco (Cole Valley) is seeking a Full Time Seasonal Utility/Sales Associate to deliver outstanding customer service, stock and merchandise seasonal items, cash register duties and support store management.

The role requires a friendly, proactive team player who can stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and work weekends/evenings. Prior retail experience in hardware or home goods is preferred; compensation starts at $20 per hour with benefits included.

Qualifications

• Retail experience in hardware, paint, tools, electrical or plumbing is preferred.
• Professional, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to stand, lift and move stock as needed.
• Experience in creative and enticing seasonal merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customers receive outstanding service with every interaction
• Generate sales and help maintain departments
• Be positive and friendly at all times to coworkers and customers
• Commit to service excellence and customer satisfaction
• Execute daily operational goals set by store management
• Stock merchandise and keep receiving and back stock areas clean and organized
• Uphold merchandising, inventory, and store cleanliness standards
• Maintain well-stocked, well-organized departments
• Be responsive to safety issues and shoplifting awareness
• Assist with seasonal tree sales and handling
• Cashiering
• Other duties as assigned
