Job summary

Equity LifeStyle Properties seeks a Seasonal Ranger for our California campground. You will patrol grounds, enforce rules, and protect guests and belongings while remaining calm in stressful situations under local regulations.

Responsibilities include securing the property, guiding guests, coordinating with law enforcement if needed, managing gate access, and handling reservations and store sales. Weekend availability and RV site hookups are part of the benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills and the ability to use computer applications.
• Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to assess a situation, use quick and reasonable judgment and resolve problems diplomatically.
• Exceptional customer service and communications skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Experience working in security and/or law enforcement, and/or working in an RV environment, is a benefit.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record and current auto insurance.
• Ability to working weekends and holidays on a regular basis.
• RV site (with hook-ups) available for employees.

• Performs on-call emergency service as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What you'll do

The Campground Ranger position may include walking or patrol of the grounds of the campground answering questions, enforcing rules and ensuring the safety of our guests and their belongings. This position is for seasonal employment with full-time hours. This position typically pays $16.90 per hour in the state of CA.

Estimated compensation for this position in the states of BC, CA, CO, IL, MA, MD, MN, NJ, NY, VT and WA is: Hourly: $16.90 - $16.90 The salary listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. A salary offer will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to the base pay and our benefits, some positions are eligible for bonuses, sales commissions, or incentive pay.
