Work Hours: Full-time/Seasonal, 80 hours bi-weekly

Starting Salary: $17.56 an hour

Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED, and six (6) months experience in landscaping and/or grounds maintenance; ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor under adverse weather conditions.
  • Driver's License issued by the state of residency.
Work Conditions & Hazards
  • Possible exposure to chemicals, fumes, and unpleasant odors.
Job Responsibilities
  • Assist grounds crew with maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, watering, weed removal, landscaping, snow and ice removal, pruning, planting, mulching, flower bed cleaning, and soil stabilization.
  • Operate grounds maintenance equipment including tractors, mowers, edgers, chainsaws, and snow removal tools.
  • Perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment; operate vehicles for transportation of tools and materials.
  • Gather and remove litter; perform other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain regular attendance and assist co-workers as needed.
Preferred Qualifications

College coursework or an Associate's Degree in Horticulture or related field.
