Job Title: Groundskeeper

Status: Seasonal - Full Time Days

Schedule: 7am-3pm

Salary Range: $15/hour

What will I do in this role with Garden Spot?

  • Performs equipment maintenance, adjustments, and repairs to include: sharpening mower blades, oil changes, cleaning, belt changes, etc.
  • Mows all turf areas.
  • Plants trees, shrubs, flowers, bulbs, and seeds turf.
  • Spray herbicides and pesticides on turf and bed areas under direct supervision of the supervisor.
  • Trims walkways and mulches beds.
  • Prunes and trims trees, shrubs, and flowers.
  • Assists with snow removal.

What do I need for this role with Garden Spot?

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Familiarity with and the ability to operate all ground equipment.
  • Possesses basic mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance.
  • Assists with special events or functions that are held on the campus.
  • Exercises good judgement, work independently, follow directions well, and cooperate well with others.
  • Must be available on an on-call basis through the winter season for snow and ice removal responsibilities.
  • Must be willing to work in extreme hot or cold seasonal weather.
  • An understanding of and willingness to live out our mission and values, providing compassionate person-centered care to all residents
