Job summary

The Southeast Polk Community School District is seeking a Seasonal/Temporary Worker (Grounds) to perform grounds tasks at assigned locations. This role supports mowing, landscaping, snow removal, and salt application as part of the buildings and grounds team.

Responsibilities include operating basic equipment, adhering to fire and safety codes, and cooperating with staff to maintain safe, clean school environments throughout the season.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate information orally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and/or as part of a team to complete tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic lawn care including mowing and landscaping.
• Snow removal including plowing, shoveling, and salt application.
• Follow fire and safety codes and district policies.
• Assist with grounds maintenance and related tasks as assigned.
