Seasonal Grounds Maintenance - Public Works

Position: Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Worker

Location: Cache County

We are seeking a motivated self-starter to join our Public Works team. The role involves grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing, weeding, watering, weed trimming, and maintaining sprinkler systems and irrigation clocks. Additionally, the position includes assisting with the maintenance of the truck wash, buildings, and performing mechanic work on various equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental maintenance and landscaping, including planting, grooming lawns, beds, trees, and shrubs.
• Install and maintain sprinkler systems and timers.
• Operate spraying equipment for weed control.
• Maintain equipment such as tractors, water trucks, loaders, forklifts, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, ATVs, lawnmowers, and spraying equipment.
• Order replacement parts and perform maintenance using welding and soldering techniques.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, plus specialized training in maintenance, construction, or facilities management.
• Valid Driver's License with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 24 months.
• No DUI/ARR within the past 5 years.
• Availability for occasional 24-hour emergency call-outs.
• Preferred: Valid Commercial Driver's License.

Salary: $17.00 per hour
