Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Crew Member

Seasonal | Full Time | $17 - $19/hour

Position Title: Grounds Maintenance Crew Member

Supervisor: Grounds Maintenance Manager

Employee Status: Seasonal, Full Time

Exemption: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Start & End Date: May 1 - October 31, 2025

Salary Range: $17 - $19/hour

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3pm

What You’ll Do

  • Operate a work truck and trailer to load and unload mowing and trimming equipment.
  • Mow & trim lawns and road sides using electric equipment.
  • Tree and shrub maintenance including pruning and installation.
  • Seasonal road maintenance repairs.
  • Garbage, composting, and recycling services.
  • Special event support including setup, breakdown, parking, and cleanup.
  • Maintaining equipment and vehicles in a safe and usable condition.

Core Qualifications

  • Age 18 years or older due to motor vehicle driving and power-driven machine operation. You will only need to drive farm equipment and vehicles, and you do not need to provide your own vehicle.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Able to perform manual labor outdoors in all weather conditions.

Additional Valued Qualifications

  • Experience operating commercial grounds maintenance equipment is helpful but not required.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions for 90% of the time.
  • Move up and down a ladder up to 8 feet.
  • Moving while carrying items that weigh up to 75 lbs.
  • Operate a sit-on lawn mower for up to an 8-hour shift.
  • Operate a walk-behind mower for up to an 8-hour shift.
  • Operate other hand tools and mechanical equipment using safety precautions.
