Job summary

Troon is hiring a seasonal, part-time Greenskeeper for Tri-Mountain Golf Course. You will be responsible for landscaping and maintenance around the course, with flexible hours during the golf and holiday season.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of grounds maintenance and irrigation systems, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to operate small equipment. Compensation is $17.13 per hour, with benefits including medical, vision, PTO, 401(k), and EAP.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment.
• Working knowledge of irrigation systems and basic hydraulics.
• Knowledge of agronomy, turf grass science, and golf rules.
• Ability to supervise teammates and uphold safety standards.
• Willingness to learn and strong work ethic.
• Dependable and able to follow oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized areas on the course and maintenance facility.
• Course setup, moving tee balls, trash pickup, and pin changes.
• Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees, and other areas.
• Waters greens/fairways and operates irrigation heads as needed.
• Repairs irrigation system, pipes, and heads.
• Grades and prepares soil, lays sod, and seeds greens and tees.
• Trims hedges and shrubs; cleans flower beds.
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the course.
• Operates small equipment: weed trimmers, blowers, edgers, mowers.
• Aerifies greens and verticuts.
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.
