Job summary

Columbia Hospitality is seeking a Seasonal Greenskeeper at Useless Bay Golf and Country Club on Whidbey Island to prep the course before play, starting around 5am. This role offers an early workday with afternoons free and the chance to join a values-driven, coastal club family.

The position emphasizes landscaping maintenance, safe tool use, and a collaborative team environment through September 30, 2026, with perks and growth opportunities across Columbia Hospitality’s network.

Qualifications

• General understanding of landscaping.
• Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely.
• Flexible and able to perform multiple tasks.
• Able to work early morning shifts (5am–6am).

Responsibilities

• Maintain the landscaping grounds and general upkeep.
• Ensure safet y and proper storage of tools and spare parts.
• Keep work spaces clean and orderly; store tools and parts properly.
• Care for tools and equipment used to perform tasks.
• Complete delegated work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Seasonal position expected to end on or around September 30th, 2026

Rise, shine, and beat the heat! We are looking for early birds to join our Grounds Crew for a 5am – 6am start as we prep the course each day for play. Get much of your day done while the world is still sleeping and enjoy having your whole afternoon free. This is a fantastic opportunity for the Summer to join a great team at a wonderful club and part of the South Whidbey community!

What you’ll do:

The Brass Tacks

• Maintain the landscaping grounds and other general upkeep.
• Ensure the security, cleanliness, preventative maintenance and repair of all department tools, equipment and safety features are in accordance of established procedures.
• Ensure all work spaces are kept in a clean and orderly manner and storing all tools, equipment and spare parts in proper location.
• Responsible for the proper treatment and care of tools and equipment used to perform tasks.
• Responsible to complete delegated work orders in a timely and professional manner.
• Reports and addresses unsafe conditions immediately.
• Other tasks as assigned.

The Nitty Gritty

• Must have a general understanding of landscaping.
• Must have knowledge and the ability to operate tools, hand tools and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
• Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks and work in stressful situations
