Job summary

Useless Bay Golf & Country Club is seeking a Restaurant Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences on Whidbey Island. You will take orders, upsell menu items, and ensure guests receive attentive, detail-focused service in a fine dining environment.

Applicants should have prior server experience, be proficient with the POS system, and hold a State Food Handler’s license with a valid liquor permit. The role offers an hourly pay rate and comprehensive perks.

• Previous experience as server in a similar restaurant environment.
• Ability to operate the computerized Point of Sale system.
• Knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures.
• Understanding of liquor laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Takes orders and serves food and beverage items to guests.
• Enters orders into POS and communicates special requests to kitchen/culinary team.
• Assembles food items and ensures attractive presentation and correct temperatures.
• Processes guest payments using proper cash handling procedures.
• Keeps dining area clean and organized.

What Success Looks Like:
Your Impact

• Takes orders and serves food and beverage items to guests in accordance with established standards
• Enters orders into computerized Point of Sale system and communicates any special requests to the culinary team
• Assembles food items, such as appetizers, salads and soups
• Ensures attractive, consistent presentation of food and beverages. Ensures that all food and beverage items are served at the correct temperature
• Maintains current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu changes and sold-out items
• Processes guest payments, using proper accounting and cash handling procedures
• Keeps work area, including guest dining area, clean and organized

What You Bring

• Previous experience as server in a similar restaurant environment
• Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system
• Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures
• Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations
• Necessary State Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s)
