Job summary

CHS Loomis is hiring for a general labor role supporting operations at the Loomis location. You’ll assist with loading/unloading, equipment handling, and daily maintenance while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Qualified candidates will have ownership of tasks, willingness to work extended peak-season hours, and an aptitude for agriculture. Compensation includes base wages with potential bonuses, and a strong safety culture is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Operations and/or Business Operations.
• Must meet minimum age requirement.
• Ability to operate machinery such as loaders, conveyors, tractors, and track mobile.
• Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands.
• Agriculture experience preferred.
• Pre-employment screenings may be required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general labor responsibilities promptly and efficiently.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of the commodities handled and comply with policies.
• Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Prepare trucks and railcars for loading/unloading with sampling and hoses.
• Load and unload agricultural inputs using heavy or light machinery.
• Control and monitor all load out functions.
• Understand and operate automated scale/dump systems.
• Record daily, weekly and monthly maintenance tasks including lubrication and inspections.
• Monitor and maintain inventory quality (blends, bulk, packaged).
• Keep work areas clean, safe and organized; perform housekeeping.
• Perform grounds maintenance including snow removal.
• Operate forklift and loading equipment as part of warehouse work.
• Report customer complaints, repairs, or safety concerns to supervisor.
• Promote a strong safety culture and follow safety policies and regulations.
• Perform other duties to ensure smooth facility operation and customer service.
