Job summary

Tulsa County Parks Department is seeking a part-time Grounds Maintenance worker to help care for golf course areas, turf, and related landscapes. The role involves operating tractors and equipment, mowing greens and tees, irrigating turf, and performing grounds repairs as needed to keep the course in top playing condition.

Qualified applicants should be able to perform heavy manual labor, read and follow directions, and meet the minimum age requirement.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; 16 years of age minimum.
• Knowledge of safe grounds maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and follow instructions.
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds and turf of golf course to acceptable playing condition.
• Operate tractor and equipment for turf tilling, fertilizing, mowing.
• Cut turf on greens and tees with mower.
• Connect hoses and sprinkler systems to irrigate turf.
• Dig and rake ground for greens, grades, and traps; repair road beds.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
