Base pay range

$19.00/hr - $19.00/hr

  • Position: Seasonal Garage Lot Attendant
  • Location: Promenade Mall - San Diego, CA
  • Pay Range: $19/hr
  • Schedule: Part Time - Monday - Sunday Between the hours of 9:00a - 9:00p (schedule will vary); must be able to work weekends!
  • Seasonal position - June to September 2025

The Spirit Of The Position

The Garage Attendant is responsible for ensuring garages are maintained and cleaned on a daily basis. Interface with customers, handle disputes, provide effective communication between departments, co-workers, customers and clients.

Responsibilities

Principal Job Duties:

    • Monitor parking facilities for vehicles in violation of parking ordinances by following an assigned route.
    • Issue LAZ approved parking citations for vehicles in violation of policies and procedures.
    • Screen for parking placards and permits for special privileges within approved areas.
    • Resolve customer complaints in accordance with policies and procedures.
    • Maintain and care for all company issued equipment.
    • Assist with any special assignments and projects as requested.
    • Other related duties as assigned.
Education

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Skills

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
  • Willingness to be flexible, work multiple facility locations.
  • Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
  • Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
  • Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift, squeeze, reach, push and pull at least 30 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
  • Ability bend, stoop, kneel, squat and lift objects frequently throughout entire shift.
  • Ability to work in elements-heat, wind, rain, etc.
  • Ability to apply pressure to an object with the fingers and palm frequently.
  • Ability to perform all functions that require repetitive motions using hands, wrist, arms, knees and/or legs.
  • Ability to express or exchange information, instructions, ideas, etc. by means of the spoken word.
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make the discrimination in sound.
