Job summary

Irving Oil in Barre, Vermont is seeking a Seasonal Fuel Delivery Driver to join our Dispatch team. You will deliver fuel to residential and commercial customers, load the truck safely, and complete pre- and post-trip inspections in a DOT-compliant environment.

Candidates must hold a CDL Class A or B with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, have at least 2 years of commercial driving experience, and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• A valid CDL Class A or Class B with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial transportation experience; experience with liquid loads is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Drive a delivery truck while following all DOT regulations and procedures.
• Coordinate with Dispatch Team to deliver products to residential and commercial customers.
• Follow a daily route using knowledge of geography, routes, zones, and streets.
• Load the truck with required product while following safety policies at loading site/bulk plant.
• Complete daily shift reports, pre- and post-trip inspections, and related paperwork.

As a Seasonal Fuel Delivery Driver, you will work with our Dispatch team to deliver product safely to our residential and commercial customers. Your goal will be to provide a meaningful and essential service to our Irving Energy customers in a safety focused environment. Your success will depend on your ability to adhere to daily routes, load the fuel truck, and complete pre-and post-trip inspections while maintaining all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and procedures.

Your Responsibilities:

• Driving a delivery truck while adhering to all DOT regulations and procedures
• Working with our Dispatch Team in delivering products to residential and commercial customers
• Following a daily route using knowledge of geography, routes, zones, streets, etc.
• Loading truck with required product while adhering to all safety policies and procedures at loading site/bulk plant
• Completion of daily shift report, pre and post trip inspections and any required paperwork

Your Skills:

Your Experience:

• A valid CDL Class A or Class B Driver’s License with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements
• Minimum 2 years Commercial Transportation experience required and experience with liquid loads is an asset
• High school diploma or G.E.D. required

The expected hourly range for this position is $28.50-$31.50. Placement within range will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, and skills.
