This location is a Distribution Center. Overtime opportunities are available throughout the summer months. Throughout June- September will include mandatory and overtime hours based on needs of the business.

Opportunities for full time employee may be offered post season.

Are you a motivated individual with a passion for ensuring smooth operations in a busy warehouse environment? Lakeside Book Company is looking for a dedicated Seasonal Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for operating forklifts and other machinery to move, stack, and organize products efficiently. Responsibilities

1. Operate Order Picker, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
2. Load and unload shipments from delivery trucks and containers.
3. Organize and store products in designated areas within the warehouse.
4. Perform regular inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts and equipment.
5. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
6. Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts as needed.
7. Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate shipping and receiving tasks.

Requirements

1. Previous Order Picker experience required.
2. Must be comfortable with heights.
3. Previous experience in a warehouse/distribution environment required.
4. Steel-toe shoes are required to be worn every day for this position.
5. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
6. Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, stoop, reach, and carry up to 50lbs, during an 8 to 10-hour shift.
7. Basic computer skills for inventory management.
8. Ability to work mandatory overtime which could include Saturdays.

Pay, Shift, & Location

1. Pay - $19.50/hr, plus $1.50/hr shift differential
2. Shift – Monday to Friday, 11:30am-7:30pm, with mandatory overtime as required.
3. Location – 5550 W. 74th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46268
4. This is a seasonal position, beginning as early as April and lasting through the duration of our peak season, with no guarantee of a permanent role offer.
