This location is a Distribution Center. Overtime opportunities are available throughout the summer months. Throughout June- September will include mandatory and overtime hours based on needs of the business.

Lakeside Book Company is looking for a dedicated Seasonal Order Picker/Turret Operator to join our dynamic team! In this vital role, you’ll be responsible for operating forklifts and other machinery to move, stack, and organize products efficiently. Responsibilities

• Operate Order Picker/Turret and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload shipments from delivery trucks and containers.
• Organize and store products in designated areas within the warehouse.
• Perform case pick duties as required.
• Perform regular inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with inventory counts as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate shipping and receiving tasks.

Requirements

• Previous order picker and/or turret experience required.
• Previous experience in a warehouse/distribution environment required.
• Must be comfortable with heights.
• Steel-toe shoes are required to be worn every day for this position.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, stoop, reach, and carry up to 50lbs, during an 8 to 10-hour shift.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management.
• Ability to work mandatory overtime which could include Saturdays.

Pay, Shift, & Location

• Pay - $19.50/hr, plus $1.50/hr shift differential for 3rd Shift.
• Shift – Sunday to Thursday, 10:00pm-6:00am, with mandatory overtime as required.
• Location – 5550 W. 74 th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46268
• This is a seasonal position beginning as early as April and lasting through the duration of our peak season, with no guarantee of a permanent role offer.
• For safety purposes, 3rd shift will not be allowed to return to their cars during breaks.
