Job summary

CB Harvesting is seeking a Fleet Mechanic for Buses, Field Haul Trucks, Trailers, and Harvest Equipment in Salinas, CA, with seasonal relocation to Imperial Valley. The role covers inspection, maintenance, and repair of transport assets supporting harvest operations, and serving as the primary contact for fleet camera systems.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, reviewing driver inspections, maintaining logs, and ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a diesel, fleet, or heavy equipment mechanic.
• Working knowledge of air brakes, hydraulics, diesel engines, and vehicle electrical systems.
• Valid California driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel between Monterey County and Imperial County locations as the season requires.
• Valid California Class A or Class B CDL, or ability to obtain the appropriate CDL within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair buses, field haul trucks, trailers, harvest equipment, and related vehicles.
• Update and maintain maintenance logs, work orders, and parts usage.
• Learn and serve as main contact for fleet safety camera systems and coordinate with vendors.
