The State of Indiana invites applications for a seasonal custodial support role at INDOT in the Wabash Sub-District Shop. The position involves general custodial tasks, routine facilities maintenance, inventory handling, and assisting mechanics.

Work focuses on safe operations, following procedures, and supporting multiple shop duties. The role may be supervisory depending on agency needs, with a strict 180-day limit and no benefits offered.

• Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment.
• Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Ability to understand written and verbal communications.

Responsabilidades

• Performs general custodial duties: mopping, vacuuming, restrooms, restocking supplies.
• Performs routine facilities maintenance: changing light bulbs, painting, checking fluid levels.
• Empties trash, disposes of trash into dumpsters, bags trash for disposal.
• Delivers vehicles, parts, and equipment to district locations.
• Receives, stocks, and organizes inventory.
• Assists mechanics and staff in routine maintenance and inventory procedures.
• Cleans facilities per seasonal/project requirements.
• Performs basic lawn maintenance: mowing, trimming.
• May provide vendors access to areas for cleaning and inventory.
