The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra at Powell Hall is seeking a Facilities Coordinator & Event Support to assist the Facilities team with day-to-day operations, safety, vendor oversight, and event support during the season.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Emergency Response: Maintain understanding of Powell Hall's emergency procedures; act as contact during alarms, outages, or medical emergencies; investigate alarms and escalate as needed.
• Event Support: Serve as the primary facilities point-of-contact for public performances and rehearsals; manage lobby lighting and monitor HVAC for performer and patron comfort.
• Vendor Oversight: Supervise 3rd-party custodial and security staff during shifts to ensure scope-of-work compliance and responsiveness to service requests.
• Facility Maintenance: Perform routine walk-throughs to identify immediate safety or aesthetic issues; address exterior upkeep including weeds and trash removal.
• Administrative & Technical Support: Respond to urgent facility needs or equipment malfunctions using basic tools or coordinating with the Facilities Engineer; use templates to generate schedules and event documents.
• Collaboration: Maintain a positive work atmosphere with musicians, guest artists, and staff.
