Job summary

Twoseven Inc., a NYC-based production and fabrication shop, is hiring a Seasonal / Overhire Fabricator with strong carpentry experience to join our team on fast-paced, creative projects. You will work under Lead Fabricators, Production Managers, and Department Heads, delivering parts and assemblies with safety and quality in mind.

The ideal candidate is resourceful, eager to learn, and adaptable to shifting priorities, with a strong work ethic and reliability for extended hours when needed.

Qualifications

• Carpentry, millwork or fabrication experience in fast-paced creative production workshops.
• Ability to read shop and architectural drawings and interpret them accurately.
• Knowledge of materials, hardware, and fabrication processes, especially wood and sheet goods.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and finish custom components focusing on carpentry and woodworking.
• Follow shop drawings and production guidance with attention to accuracy, quality, and safety.
• Assist with material prep and cut lists, flag shortages before fabrication begins.
• Build and assemble projects with installation, shipping, and site considerations.
• Communicate progress and issues clearly to supervisors and project leadership.
• Prepare tools, materials, and workspace for shop and on-site tasks.
• Support on-site installations and strikes under supervision.
• Assist with shop logistics, including unloading, staging, and crating.
• Contribute to production across departments to meet project needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
