Job summary

Twoseven Inc, a NYC-based production and fabrication shop, is seeking a skilled Seasonal / Overhire Fabricator with strong carpentry experience to join our team on fast-paced, creative projects. You will report to the Production Director and work under Lead Fabricators, Production Managers, and Department Heads.

The role requires reading shop drawings, strong carpentry/woodworking skills, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; arts background preferred.
• 2+ years carpentry/fabrication in fast-paced workshops.
• Able to read shop and architectural drawings.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Willingness to travel outside the NY metro area.
• Eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and finish custom components with emphasis on carpentry.
• Follow shop drawings and production guidance with accuracy and safety.
• Assist material prep and cut lists; flag shortages early.
• Build projects with installation and shipping considerations.
• Communicate progress and questions to supervisors early.
• Prepare tools, materials, and work areas for tasks.
• Support on-site installations and strikes under supervision.
• Assist with shop logistics like unloading and crating.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Adapt to changing project needs and priorities.
