Asphalt Specialists, LLC is hiring for the 2026 season in southeast Michigan. We seek an Excavation Laborer to perform physical labor at construction sites, assist the heavy equipment operator, and help with earth removal.

Must have reliable transportation, be available on weekends, and willing to work overtime. The role requires PPE usage, teamwork, and a strong work ethic to ensure quality results and safety on all jobs.

Qualifications

• Experience as an excavation laborer or heavy equipment operator is required.
• Experience using basic hand tools (shovel, spade, hoe, rake, pickaxe).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the job site.
• Must follow Foreman directions for daily tasks and expectations.
• Must be available weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and willing to overtime.
• Adhere to dress code and PPE requirements.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team to complete jobs safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist the heavy equipment operator to complete excavations at construction sites.
• Perform earth/rock removal and site cleanup as directed by the Foreman.
• Operate or assist with basic hand tools to prepare work areas.
• Follow safety rules and use PPE as required on site.
