Medical City Dallas is seeking a Seasonal Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced department.

As a member of the ER team, you will assess pain, perform procedures, document care, and educate patients and families about conditions and follow-up care. The role requires specific certifications and a commitment to exceptional clinical outcomes.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• RN and active RN license required.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or Satori Alternatives Management required within 1 year of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and care per orders; document promptly in the medical record.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up.
• Teach about non-medicinal follow-up measures and self-management.
