Overview

Seasonal Entertainment Maintenance Technician at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. Join to support theater/stage operations and help bring joy, excitement, and lasting memories to guests. We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and hard-working individuals to become Ambassadors on our incredible team.

What You Get To Do
  • Perform theater/stadium opening and closing duties and daily systems inspections
  • Troubleshoot, maintain and repair theatrical equipment including Audio, Video, Lighting and Special Effects
  • Ensure assignments are met and department policies are adhered to
  • Assist Production team with installations for new shows, special events or consumer events
  • Monitor and ensure the assigned show area is 100% show ready, safe and clean at all times
  • Work with Stage Manager to complete daily tasks and project list items
  • Pursue personal development of skills and capabilities through ongoing training, project assistance, and independent study
  • Demonstrate and encourage a positive-attitude work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
What It Takes To Succeed
  • Possession of a valid state driver’s licence required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a theme park/theatrical environment with training in lighting, staging, video, audio or equipment repair
  • Ability to work professionally, responsibly and safely in a team environment
  • Comfort operating computers and computerized control systems used in theatrical performances
  • Good oral and written communication skills, including professional headset communication
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights
  • Ability to stand, bend or kneel for long periods; able to bend, reach, twist and turn
  • Ability to lift, push and pull 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working in theater and outdoor environments and around animals; exposure to noise, vibrations, fumes/dust/odor
  • Ability to train on and properly use protective gear
  • Available to work varying shifts based on park hours, including opening/closing and rehearsal shifts
What Else Is Important
  • Training or certifications in installation, programming, or repair (e.g., Vari*Lite, Robe, Elation, ETC; Christie, Panasonic, Daktronics, Blackmagic; Q-Sys, Shure, Lectrosonic, Dante)
  • Experience with industrial vehicles or watercraft preferred
  • Basic understanding of electrical theory, basic carpentry, and handling/setup of pyrotechnic materials preferred
  • Ability to read lighting plots, schematics, and blueprints preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
