See’s Candies in the United States is seeking a Seasonal Enrober Operator Helper to assist Enrober Operators and help maintain product quality during the September to December season.

You will perform checks, adjustments, and record results, prepare machines for shifts, and learn to operate the steam cleaner, while adhering to safety and GMP guidelines. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work a flexible day/night schedule.

Qualifications

• Able to work a flexible schedule (day and night shift) and weekends if needed.
• Excellent attendance and professional attitude.
• Abide by See’s Employee Safety and GMP rules.
• Ability to read/write in English or Spanish to complete FSMA documents.
• Ability to follow Enrober operation instructions precisely.
• Learn Enrober Electronic Panel Views and their operation.
• Mechanical inclination and adherence to See’s quality standards.
• Identify and communicate production quality and efficiency data.
• Willing to be trained as a pallet jack operator and to complete chemical training.
• Willing to complete LOTO training.

• Perform checks and minor repairs of wire.
• Use measurements of product parameters to verify process specifications.
• Perform chocolate changeovers.
• Prepare machine for next shift, including cleaning and disposing of excess chocolate.
• Learn to operate a steam cleaner and attachment.
• Perform nut meat filtrations and magnet checks.

Job Description Summary: Seasonal Enrober Operator Helper assist the Enrober Operators as needed.

Responsibilities

• Helpers will assist the Enrober Operators as needed.
• Duties may include manual scrubbing, brushing and other duties as needed.
• Use of steam and water hoses and operation of COP tanks.
• Perform checks and measurements and make adjustments to achieve the quality targets.
• Record and document the results of the measurement on the appropriate forms.
• Perform escalation to management if actions are unable to achieve the specification.
• Perform checks and minor repairs of wire.
• Using the measurements of the product parameters to understand if the process is within the specification.
• Perform chocolate changeovers.
• Prepare machine for next shift, including but not limited to emptying and cleaning the machine and disposing of the excess chocolate.
• Willingness to learn and operate a steam cleaner and attachment.
• Perform nut meat filtrations and magnet checks.

Qualification

• Able to work a flexible schedule (day and night shift) and weekends if needed.
• Excellent attendance and great professional attitude.
• Abide by all See’s Employee Safety and GMP rules/guidelines.
• Ability to read/write in English or Spanish to complete required FSMA documents.
• Ability to precisely follow Enrober operation instructions, including but not limited to slope, weights, temperature logs, downtime recording and cleaning aspects.
• Ability to learn Enrober Electronic Panel Views and their proper operation.
• General knowledge and strict adherence to See’s quality standards.
• Able to identify, collect and communicate production quality and efficiency data.
• Willingness and ability to be trained as a certified pallet jack operator.
• Willingness and ability to complete chemical training.
• Willingness and ability to complete and pass Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) training.
• Must be mechanically inclined.

Physical Requirements

• Able to individually lift up to 50 lbs on a daily basis.
• Able to lift machine parts to assemble/disassemble equipment as needed.
• Able to repeatedly use both hands throughout the duration of the shift.
• Able to stand, bend, twist, pull throughout the duration of the shift.

Schedule and Duration

The roles are scheduled to commence in September/October and conclude in December, with an orientation date set for September. Seasonal employees are expected to work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week.

Pay: Starting Hourly Rate: $18.47 - $30.86
