Job summary

Omaha Children's Museum is seeking a seasonal part-time elf to lead a scripted Santa arrival show and guide guests during meet-and-greet moments. This on-site role supports the Education team during the holiday season and requires enthusiasm, reliability, and strong guest interaction skills.

Responsibilities include memorizing lines, performing in full costume, interacting with visitors of all ages, and assisting with photo opportunities.

• Must enjoy working with the public and demonstrate friendliness, professionalism, enthusiasm, and a customer-focused approach.
• Must be able to work a weekday and weekend schedule.
• Successful completion of a background check required.
• High level of punctuality and dependability.
• High energy.
• Desire to interact with guests of all ages.
• Positive and adaptive attitude.
• Perform memorized, timed, scripted performances.
• Comfortable in front of a crowd as small as 5 and as large as 75

Responsibilities

• Memorize lines and cues
• Perform engaging, exciting shows in full costume and makeup
• Individually interact with guests while in character during meet and greets to provide a personalized experience
• Respond to ongoing feedback
• Verify all props and performance materials are set and in working condition
• Communicate any costuming/supply needs to the Education/Exhibits team
• Work with the Education Events Manager on special events pertaining to the exhibit and holiday season
• Provide a positive learning environment for children by resetting, cleaning and organizing the exhibit throughout the day
• Assist with photo taking for families
