Job summary

Simplot Grower Solutions in Halsey, OR seeks a seasonal Truck Driver/Warehouse to operate fertilizer trucks, deliver products and support plant operations. This full-time temporary role offers full benefits and potential overtime during peak season.

You will be responsible for driving, loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals, keeping trucks clean, and assisting with warehouse tasks; overtime and weekends are required to meet seasonal demands.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain a Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• HazMat endorsement preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Overtime and weekend availability during seasonal demands.

Responsibilities

• Operate fertilizer truck, fill application equipment, and support plant operations as needed.
• May assist with recordkeeping related to warehouse/inventory responsibilities.
• Maintain and keep trucks clean.

Summary

Simplot Grower Solutions is looking to fill a seasonal Truck Driver/Warehouse position. Full-time, temporary, position with full benefits and the opportunity for substantial over-time hours. The primary responsibility is to operate trucks, deliver fertilizer and chemicals and assist with plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate fertilizer truck, fill application equipment, and support plant operations as needed.
• May assist with recordkeeping related to warehouse/inventory responsibilities.
• Maintain and keep trucks clean.
• Performs varied responsibilities such as: equipment and plant maintenance including welding, pump and engine overhauls, painting, and general housekeeping responsibilities
• Loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers
• Miscellaneous duties such as assisting with special projects, attending training sessions, providing back-up when needed, etc.

Typical Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Combination of education, training and/or experience will be considered for this position.

Relevant Experience

• Truck driving experience preferred
• Knowledge of local rural geography is a plus
• Knowledge of farm operations is a plus
