Capitol Debate in Chapel Hill invites applications for a 2026 Summer Debate Camp Senior Instructor in Public Speaking & Debate. You will lead lessons, coach students aged 8-17, judge practice debates, and provide detailed feedback across multiple campus locations.

You must have coaching experience in Speech & Debate, a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), and be prepared for 6 weeks of summer work with housing and meals provided on-site.

Qualifications

• Coaching or teaching competitive public speaking and debate.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• Experience with 6-12th grade or college level ideal.

Responsibilities

• Lead lessons and coach students; judge practice debates.
• Deliver feedback and track student progress.
• Assist Camp Director to ensure a high-quality camp experience.
