Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking a Seasonal Data Specialist to join the BT Prep team. This remote, short-term role supports the complete data workflow, moving tax-related information from document intake through to tax return preparation, with paid training and the possibility to return each tax season.

You will handle scanned tax documents, apply careful data handling, and collaborate with a remote team while learning new tools and adapting to evolving procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have participated in a previous BT Prep Tax Season.
• Availability: minimum 30 hours/week (Mon-Fri, 7 am-7 pm CST), spread over at least four days.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new digital and AI-assisted tools quickly.
• Ability to work remotely in a team environment and independently.

Responsibilities

• Support the complete data workflow for the BT Prep team.
• Move tax-related information from document intake through to tax return preparation.
• Work with scanned tax documents and complete each stage needed to prepare information for downstream use.
• Learn new tools and adapt procedures as they evolve.
