Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Summit County, CO, invites applications for a CT Tech in Frisco. You will perform high-quality CT imaging, ensure patient safety, and provide compassionate care within the imaging department.

You will lead colleagues, serve as a clinical resource, and uphold current unit standards of practice. Responsibilities include preparing patients, explaining procedures, limiting radiation exposure per ALARA, and handling IV starts and contrast as required.

Qualifications

  • ARRT CT or equivalent credential required or ARRT(R) with CT training.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association.
  • 1 year of related imaging experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic CT imaging with quality and safety adherence.
  • Lead and support fellow technologists; act as clinical resource.
  • Prepare patients, explain procedures, and address needs.
  • Monitor patient and equipment during procedures; document issues.
  • Perform IV starts and contrast administration as required.
  • Maintain equipment operations and log service issues.

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our CT Tech, you will perform high-quality CT images and exams, providing essential patient care within the medical imaging department while maintaining sensitivity to patient needs. Every day you will follow standards of safe radiation practice, demonstrate leadership for other associate technologists, act as a clinical resource to unit personnel, and assure current standards of practice for the unit. To be successful in this role, you will possess expert technical skills in CT imaging, a strong commitment to patient safety and radiation practice, excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team leadership, and the ability to serve as a valuable clinical resource.

  • Performs diagnostic imaging procedures, providing safety for self, patients and all other individuals. - Practices all rules and regulations pertaining to radiation safety, reducing personal and patient exposure to "as low as reasonably achievable" (ALARA).
  • Produces quality images in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
  • Prepares patient for exam. Provides information and instruction to patient and/or family regarding the procedure and responds to their physical and emotional needs.
  • Observes patient and equipment during the procedure and reports/documents unusual occurrences and records patient’s condition.
  • Performs IV starts and contrast administration as required.
  • Maintains technical operation of equipment and notifies service when necessary. Notifies supervisor of equipment problems and logs the service call/problem per department procedure.

We are offering a $6,000 seasonal sign-on bonus in addition, up to $8,000 relocation assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements

$400/month Summit County housing stipend available for full time residents of Summit, Park, Eagle, Grand, Clear Creek or Lake Counties. Must work at least 80% physically on-site at a CommonSpirit facility in Summit County and full time or part time status.

Required
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • ARRT (CT), ARRT(N), ARRT(T) or CNMT registry required or ARRT (R) with CT training
  • Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
  • One (1) year of related experience
  • State Radiology Tech license for those working at a Kansas site
Preferred
  • Associate Degree, is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor Degree

$36.50 - $61.47 /hour
