Zurich is currently looking for a Seasonal Part-Time RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster to join our Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) team. RCIS provides insurance and superior services through leading agents to protect America’s farmers and ranchers. It has been an innovator in crop insurance since 1980 and is now one of the nation’s largest crop insurance providers, offering risk management protection across all 50 states through a network of about 4,000 licensed agents.

We are seeking a Part-Time, Seasonal Crop Adjuster to work remotely from Hawaii. The position involves approximately 30 hours per week with about 50% travel within the territory, which includes the counties of Hawaii, Maui, Honolulu, and Kauai.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Complete field inspections, including reading maps and aerial photos, measuring fields and storage bins, and discussing crop loss findings with farmers.
2. Gather and record information regarding crop damage to determine potential damages.
3. Provide excellent service to agents and farmers.
4. Use company software to transmit claims information from the field to RCIS promptly and accurately.
5. Follow all regulatory and company policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and at least 6 months of experience in agriculture.
• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP), to be obtained within 180 days of hire.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the territory.
• Ability to walk up to 3 miles in fields, climb storage bins up to 25 feet, lift 25-50 lbs., and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
