Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment is seeking enthusiastic Ambassadors for a seasonal role in Orlando. You will assist show performers with costumes, create venue documents, and manage daily costume inventory with light sewing and cleaning duties.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, 18+ years old, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and availability for opening, mid, and closing shifts including weekends and holidays.

SEASONAL POSITION

The Timeframe for this role will run now through Late September, with the possibility of extending through January for our Christmas Celebration.

What you get to do:

• Assist show performers with costumes before and after shows
• Create venue documents
• Preset a large inventory of costumes daily based off cast schedules
• Perform light sewing repairs
• Hand and machine wash a large volume of costumes daily
• Perform daily venue procedures including cleaning, organization and inventory
• In some cases, perform stagehand duties during shows
• Receive, sort, and put away laundry/costumes
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly paperwork

What it takes to succeed:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 18 years old
• Previous theater/costuming experience
• Multi-task and adapt to changes in a fast‑paced work environment
• Available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours; i.e., be able to work opening and closing shifts
• A valid state driver’s license and be able to obtain a company driver’s license

What else is important:

• Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed.
• Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor‑to‑waist/waist‑to‑overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing).
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat.
• Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes.
• Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals.
• Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities.
