Elephants Delicatessen in Portland, OR is seeking dynamic Seasonal Cooks to join our Production Kitchen through December. You will prepare and produce high-quality items following recipes, safety standards, and schedules in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of kitchen experience, ability to lift 50 pounds, and strong teamwork and communication skills to support peak seasonal operations. Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of commercial kitchen, food production, or high-volume food service experience.
• Experience preparing large-batch meals.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to measure, weigh, and scale recipes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Able to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsabilités

• Produce all food precisely according to Elephant's recipes.
• Scale recipes to meet daily production needs.
• Maintain consistent quality in taste, presentation, portioning, and labeling.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, storage, and temperature control standards.
• Safely operate kitchen equipment and report malfunctions.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Support inventory rotation, stocking, and waste reduction.
• Work across multiple production departments as assigned.
• Complete required production records, including time and temperature logs.
• Follow allergen-control and food safety procedures.
• Assist with sanitation and end-of-shift cleaning responsibilities.
• Communicate production priorities with supervisors and team members.
• Participate in required training.
