Job summary

Foster Poultry Farms in Riverdale, CA is seeking a Commodities Warehouse Worker for a seasonal swing-shift assignment. You will safely move raw materials using forklifts, operate tractors and trailers, and perform weighmasters and batch ingredient duties.

The role requires lifting 80–100 lbs, rotating through departments, and working varying shifts, including nights and weekends. Prior commodities warehouse experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Contract length: approximately 10 months.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• Demonstrates strong numerical and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Rotates through departments as needed and completes reports clearly.
• Reads, writes, understands, and communicates in English.
• Lifts 80–100 lbs and works at heights; adheres to safety rules.
• Preferred: commodities warehouse experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate front-end loader, tractor, and shuttle trailers to move raw material.
• Operate 40-foot trailers and two-axle tractors safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues.
• Move supplies with forklifts in a safe, efficient manner.
• Bag filling, weighing, and quality checks for production codes.
• Batch ingredients, ensure correct formulation, perform weighments.
• Carry out weighmaster duties as assigned.
• General plant cleanup and adherence to safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
