Job summary

Grayson College in Denison, TX seeks a seasonal, part-time Bus Driver to transport students and staff safely to college destinations. A current Texas CDL with Passenger endorsement is required for 15+ passenger vehicles; the role is seasonal as needed, with pay at $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include pre-trip and post-trip inspections, keeping vehicles clean and fueled, submitting reports, and following safety rules.

Qualifications

• Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Must be able to pass DOT mandated physical exam.
• Must be able to pass pre-duty and randomly administered drug and alcohol tests.
• Must meet all state requirements for school bus drivers as determined by the Texas Education Agency and the Department of Transportation.

Responsibilities

• Drive the assigned college vehicle to destinations as assigned; adhere to traffic laws and safety requirements including pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Keep the bus or vehicles clean and fueled.
• Complete and submit all required reports and documentation; report accidents, vehicle damage, and student issues.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
