Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• CPR/First Aid and concussion training certifications or ability to obtain before season begins.
• Background checks and safe environment training required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct practices to develop athletes' skills and conditioning.
• Coach and supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and activities.
• Promote sportsmanship, respect, discipline, and Christian values.
• Ensure safety and well-being by following school policies and safety procedures.
• Model ethical behavior and respect for officials, opponents, teammates, and spectators.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, school administration, and Athletic Director.
• Monitor conduct and encourage academics and personal responsibility.
• Attend required meetings and athletic events as assigned.
• Maintain equipment, uniforms, and facilities with Athletic Department.
• Comply with school, diocesan, league, and state rules.

Job Summary

The Seasonal Coach is responsible for leading and developing student-athletes in a specific sport while supporting the mission, values, and educational philosophy of the Catholic school. The coach promotes athletic excellence, sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth within a faith-centered environment. This position is seasonal and reports to the Athletic Director.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct practices that develop student-athletes' skills, teamwork, and physical conditioning.
• Coach and supervise student-athletes during practices, competitions, and team activities.
• Foster an environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, respect, discipline, and Christian values.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all student-athletes by following established safety procedures and school policies.
• Teach and model ethical behavior, integrity, and respect for officials, opponents, teammates, and spectators.
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, school administration, and the Athletic Director.
• Monitor student-athlete conduct and encourage academic success and personal responsibility.
• Attend required coaches' meetings, professional development sessions, and school athletic events as assigned.
• Maintain equipment, uniforms, and facilities in cooperation with the Athletic Department.
• Comply with all school, diocesan, league, and state athletic association rules and regulations.
• Complete required reports, eligibility documentation, and other administrative responsibilities in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous coaching experience or participation in the sport is preferred.
• Knowledge of the rules, strategies, and techniques of the assigned sport.
• Current CPR, First Aid, and concussion training certifications, or the ability to obtain them before the season begins.
• Successful completion of required background checks and safe environment training.
